Gramin Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Nehrunagar (GSPM) has been registered under Society act XXI of vide No. NND16 / 65 By act 1850 in the year 1965 with main objective to create awareness among people about the importance of Education Specially in rural and backward Area.
Present situation of trust
Trust is Providing educational Facilities from primary education, high School to Graduate level. Besides this Trust is also providing educational facilities in technical field / professional area Viz , polytechnic,I.T.I. Technical High School,Diploma Courses in Agriculture , Dip.Courses in Dairy Science, MCVC and Bifocal Courses.
There are Different types of Degree program including professional Courses Viz. Agriculture which makes Students to earn his livelihood by acquiring professional skills from this college Besides this other objective of the organization is to implement Govt. Program for Welfare and overall development of people affected by natural calamities and provides technical Knowledge through extension to the farmers of adjoining areas.
The number of colleges available in relation to the requirement of technocrats and young population desirous for such education is meager in real terms less than 10% percent youth are getting higher education which is very low as compared to developed countries where higher education facilities are available for 80-90 percent of Student thus there is three to four fold scope to increase the facilities of higher education particularly in rural backward area.
Government of Maharashtra has sanctioned Vasantrao Naik Gramin College of Agriculture ,to this Trust from the year 2008-2009 vide letter No AXR Dt. 28.07.2008. The location of this college is in rural backwad area catering the need of the rural students seeking education in the field of Agriculture.
